Increased Operation Efficiencies

A retail apparel outlet store located in Orlando, FL was interested in improving the process of unloading inventory from trucks.

Problem:

• On average used three to four store employees to unload
• Unloaded weekly shipment trucks of approximately 150 packages a week
• Unload process utilized two and a half hours of staff time.

Unloading a trailer without a dock door has its own set of challenges including multiple touch points, increased labor costs and longer unload times.

Solution:

With our dockless receiving solution consisting of swingsticks and a NestaFlex flexible gravity conveyor, we were able to help them reduce staffing requirements in half as well as reduce their unload time by 70%.
