Employee Spotlight: Shelia Smart

Meet Shelia Smart, Assembly Technician!

Shelia's journey with FMH Conveyors started in 2023 after several years in the food industry. Looking for a change, she was thrilled to take on a role in our panel department. From the very beginning, she has been a key player on our team. 

One of Shelia’s favorite things about working at FMH Conveyors is that she loves the positive atmosphere that her coworkers create and appreciates the awesome management team.  

In her daily duties, Shelia builds and wires panels and keeps her work area clean and organized. She said she enjoys the daily challenges her role brings and sees each day as a chance to tackle new tasks. Shelia also sets a daily goal for herself to be one of the best panel builders and she works hard to achieve this.  

Shelia was born in Blytheville, AR, and grew up in Hollandale, MS. She moved to Jonesboro at 15. She and her husband of 23 years, Hoyt, have four kids and twelve grandkids. 

When she's not at work, Shelia enjoys hobbies like sewing, adult coloring, reading, and cooking. She says her best dish is Mexican Chicken. A few fun facts about Shelia are that she lived in Germany for three years and loves to travel and for one whole year she managed to cook a different meal every day, never repeating a dish!
