Employee Spotlight: Lola Adams
Meet Lola Adams, production team member in FMH’s gravity department!
Lola is originally from Biscoe, AR. She has one daughter, two sons, and three granddaughters. Mrs. Adams and her husband just celebrated their 29th anniversary.
She joined the FMH team in August of 2017 after her family moved to Jonesboro. As part of the gravity department, Lola helps build our NestaFlex line of flexible gravity conveyors.
When she first started, she went through an adjustment period. “It’s hard labor and your body has to learn to use the right muscles and push through,” said Mrs. Adams.
She is grateful that her boss was very encouraging in this period, as that has now led to her favorite part of the job.
“I like working with my hands and the instant gratification that comes from seeing the product through completion,” said Mrs. Adams.
Throughout the last year we have all faced the COVID-19 pandemic together, and Lola mentioned she is very thankful for the company’s leadership and that she was able to continue working safely. “The leadership throughout the company makes a difference for employees,” she said.
In her free time, Lola enjoys gardening and sewing. She especially enjoys growing a variety of roses and lilies. Additionally, she enjoys spending time with her family playing basketball and softball.
When asked if she had any words of advice, she said “learning to control emotions, especially in stressful situations, has proven to be crucial in work and personal settings.”
Thank you, Lola, for all of your hard work! We are glad you are a part of the FMH team!
